ABOUT STUDY SMART:

Study Smart is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators. Our mission is grounded in closing opportunity gaps and empowering communities through high-quality, culturally responsive academic support.

We offer an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Subjects to be taught: Core Subjects - ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science
  • Grades: 8th
  • Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
  • Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
  • Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
  • Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff
  • Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
  • Schedules vary across sites. Seeking availability Mondays through Fridays from during/afterschool hours.
  • Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
