Job description

Eye Level of Morrisville is seeking an experienced tutor or teacher to work with students ages 4 through 14. Our center has reopened for in-person classes with a very small student-teacher ratio of 1:4. We offer in center classes that are taught in a class setting within our Eye Level Center. Eye Level has its own standardized curriculum for both English and Math meaning there is no lesson planning involved!

Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 2-3 days per week, from 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Classes will be In-Centerย teachingย  from our center in Morrisville. We currently need instructors on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. You would be able to choose two of those days. This position is great for college students or current teachers looking for a part time position!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome students to classes
  • Assign classwork/homework for each student
  • Teach new concepts to students on a one-to-one or three-to-one basis
  • Track student progress
  • Notify Center Director of any problems or concerns

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Junior/Seniors
  • At least 1 year of teaching/tutoring experience, preferable in the areas of Math and English
  • Speak English fluently
  • Comfortable working with both younger and older students (ages 4-14)
  • Be comfortable teaching virtually as well as in-person
  • Must have a computer (Windows or Mac) and tablet/mobile device to access our online platform for virtual teaching days
