From our humble beginnings in 1920, Fitzgerald Public Schools is a community of 2,200 students with 350 staff members. We are proud of our early childhood center for grades PreK-K, our two elementary schools, one for lower elementary grades 1-3 and one for upper elementary grades 4-5, our middle school serving grades 6-8 with one of the planetariums in the county, our high school for grades 9-12 with a state of the art automotive service center, and our virtual academy. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate required with endorsement in EX.
  • Experience in high school classroom instruction.

  • Experience with at risk students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for planning, assessment, and instruction.
  • Implement curriculum according to the Michigan Common Core State Standards and district adopted curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
  • Interpret and use data from ongoing assessments to inform instruction.
  • Participate in professional development and implement best practice.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to improve student achievement in the content areas.
