MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Full Position
2026 - 2027 School Year

If you Love God, Love Others, Love Learning, Pursue Excellence, and want to use your gifts and talents to form intentional disciples of Jesus Christ, then we invite you to apply to be our mathematics teacher.
Job Description:
  • Teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Finance, Statistics, Precalculus, and/or AP Calculus AB to eager young minds.
  • Instill in students a love for mathematics.
  • Open students' hearts, minds, and souls to all that is good, beautiful, and true through the teaching of mathematics.
  • Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun, ordered, and fruitful learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the mathematics department to leverage best practices and build a passion for mathematics at the school.
  • Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGR's House Groups.
  • Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned.
  • And naturally, prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.

Necessary Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and EX Certification. Preferred: An M.A. in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience teaching Mathematics at the high school level preferred.
  • Ability to teach Computer Programming a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom of 20+ students.
  • Skilled at developing and delivering lesson plans that engage students and lead to high academic achievement.
  • Passionate about forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
