Job description

Pay: $18/hour guaranteed + tips

Mileage: $0.725 per mile reimbursed

Type: Full-time or Part-time

Schedule: 8AM – 10PM (AM and PM shift availability)

Benefits: Paid training · Employee discount

About the role

As a Joyleaf Delivery Driver, you're the face of Joyleaf at the customer's doorstep. You'll run daily delivery routes out of our Roselle store, manage orders through our delivery app, handle cash carefully, and bring the same warmth to a doorstep hand-off that our team brings to the floor.

You'll report to the Delivery Ops Manager. If you've got a reliable car, a clean driving record, and the kind of presence that makes someone glad you showed up — this is the role.

A typical shift

  • Start your shift, check in with dispatch, and cash till for the day
  • Drive safely and on schedule, using our delivery app for navigation and order management
  • Greet each customer at the door with care, verify ID, and confirm the order
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and make change as needed
  • Keep your vehicle clean, fueled, and ready between runs
  • Follow Joyleaf and New Jersey cannabis delivery SOPs to the letter, every time
  • Communicate with dispatch in real time on traffic, customer, or product issues

What we're looking for...

You'll do well in this role if you: __

  • Show up reliably and on time, every shift
  • Drive safely and patiently — even when traffic and weather aren't on your side
  • Stay warm and steady with customers, including when they aren't
  • Handle cash and product with care and accuracy
  • Work well solo, while staying in communication with the team

You'll also need: ** __**

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR) and background check
  • A reliable vehicle that meets New Jersey legal requirements for delivery
  • Comfort using a smartphone app for navigation and order management
  • To be 21 or older (a New Jersey requirement for dispensary work)
  • Availability weekends, evenings and early mornings

Cannabis experience? Nice to have, not required. We train you on Joyleaf's products, our delivery SOPs, and everything you need to know about New Jersey's cannabis delivery rules.

You'll thrive here if…

Our four values — empowerment, empathy & compassion, joyful experiences, and excellence **** —

— aren't posters on the wall. They're how we hire, how we coach, and how we treat each other and every guest who walks through the door — or opens it. As a Delivery Driver, you carry those values straight to people's homes. The way you handle a hand-off can make someone's whole day.

How we hire

In 2025, Joyleaf was named Best Dispensary in New Jersey at the NECANN Cup — judged through a third-party secret-shopper program scoring customer experience, staff knowledge, and community impact across 220+ licensed dispensaries. That recognition belongs to our team, and we take it as a charge to keep hiring people who are values-aligned, high-performing, and ready to deliver the experience our guests have come to expect.

Here's what to expect when you apply:

  1. Hiring assessment. A short online assessment focused on customer service judgment, situational thinking, and basic math.
  2. Virtual screening with HR. A casual conversation about your experience, what you're looking for, and any questions you have for us.
  3. In-person interview with Joyleaf management. Meet the leaders you'd be working alongside and see the space.
  4. Paid ride-along. A short, paid shift riding along with one of our drivers — so you can see the route in action, and we can see how you handle the work.

The physical part

You'll spend most of your shift in your vehicle, with frequent in-and-out motion at delivery stops. You'll regularly lift and carry orders up to 10 lbs, with occasional heavier loads. You'll also spend time on your phone managing the delivery app between stops.

Equal opportunity

Joyleaf is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We're committed to building a team that reflects the community we serve, and a workplace where everyone belongs — regardless of disability, sex, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, or veteran status. If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply, interview, or perform the role, please contact us directly.
