The Urban Renewal Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services through a remote telehealth platform. Utilizing a telehealth framework, the LPC will conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-up care from the comfort of their home office, equipped with technology that facilitates secure and confidential communication with clients. • Conduct virtual therapy sessions for clients struggling with symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, adapting interventions to meet individual needs.
• Establish and maintain rapport with clients, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship focused on engagement and empowerment.
• Collaborate effectively with a care team to develop integrated treatment plans and share client progress, ensuring all members work towards common goals.
• Perform evidence-based screenings and assessments to identify client needs and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide brief, targeted counseling services while also connecting clients to additional resources and support networks.
• Participate in crisis interventions, offering immediate support and strategies for clients in distress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with organizational protocols and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed about best practices and advancements in the field of mental health.
• Participate in quality improvement committees to enhance service delivery and organizational effectiveness.

The LPC will primarily serve clients with significant mental health issues, many of whom are from underprivileged backgrounds facing a multitude of social and economic barriers. Our client base is diverse, encompassing various cultures, traditions, and beliefs, and we are dedicated to meeting their unique mental health needs with sensitivity and respect.

• Valid LPC license to practice in Texas, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts and communicate with clients and team members alike.
• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple client cases efficiently.
• Cultural competence and an ability to work respectfully with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• At least two years of clinical experience working with adults and families dealing with mental health disorders.
• Previous experience in telehealth or remote counseling preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and their application in practice.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
