Role Overview
We are seeking a Spring/Boot developer responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. This role involves ensuring software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through coding, unit testing, and successful integration into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
  • Participate in and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance standards.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in the design and development of client requirements.
  • Assist the team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
  • Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify test issues, and triage the underlying cause.
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
  • Participate in and coach team members in delivery/release (CI/CD) events, such as branching, pull requests, and issue triage.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Middleware Service development.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience developing service integration solutions using Spring Boot.
  • A good understanding of Design Patterns and design thinking to apply while developing technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with SOAP and REST Web Services and related technologies (JAX-WS, JAX-RS, XML Technologies).
  • Web Services design and development experience as a service provider.
  • Primary Skill: Spring boot
  • Secondary Skill: Soap/Rest Webservices
  • Tertiary Skill: Core Java

Professional Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, be proactive, and deliver quality results under deadlines.
  • A self-starter with good aptitude, problem-solving skills, and an openness to learning new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile development and toolsets like Jira and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Integration technologies like Spring Boot.
