Your Responsibilities

Provide Exceptional Patient Care

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Implement tailored care plans to assist patients in alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and restoring functionality
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility
  • Aid patients with transfers, strength training, and daily living activities
  • Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as needed
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, safety measures, and the use of assistive devices

Track Progress & Communicate Effectively

  • Monitor and report on patient progress, treatment responses, and any changes in their condition
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Effectively communicate with the Physical Therapist and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Engage in case discussions and care coordination activities

Collaborate & Contribute

  • Work in close partnership with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing educational opportunities
  • Adhere to clinical standards and contribute to initiatives aimed at quality improvement

Your Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
  • Current PTA license or certification as mandated by state regulations
  • Preferred experience of 1+ years (home health experience is advantageous)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and auto insurance
