Work Environment

Our practice is designed to be a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. While the role is primarily remote, we have an inviting outpatient office in San Francisco where our counselors can meet clients in person when needed. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health issues, subsequently designing tailored treatment plans that address individual needs.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing proven therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, with a focus on promoting personal growth.
  • Set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients, ensuring ongoing assessment of their progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Facilitate teletherapy sessions for clients who prefer virtual consultations or those facing accessibility challenges, ensuring continuous access to care.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of client interactions, treatment progress, and administrative tasks, adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to refine clinical skills and stay updated on emerging trends in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our patient-centered approach emphasizes understanding each client's unique life story and context, ensuring that care is culturally competent and tailored to meet individual needs.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in California.
  • A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach toward clients’ experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a private practice or outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and the ability to adapt approaches based on individual client needs.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms.
