Compensation: $32.00 – $42.00 per hour (Commensurate with geographic location, professional credentials, and direct child care business/financial consulting experience)

What You'll Do

Position Summary

The Bilingual Trainer & Business Consultant delivers engaging virtual business training and individualized consulting services to child care centers and family child care providers. This role is responsible for training and coaching clients across all five of EEBC’s core business focus areas, with a heavy emphasis on guiding providers through business strategy, operational systems, financial stability, and enrollment growth. This is a primarily remote position, or consulting engagements. Professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as all training and consulting may be delivered in either language.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging virtual training sessions and facilitate in-person workshops as needed.
• Broad knowledge of early childhood business management, including operational workflows, marketing/enrollment strategy, and financial sustainability.
• Provide targeted, one-on-one consulting to child care center leaders and family child care providers on financial sustainability, budgeting, tax preparedness (e.g., Schedule C, Time-Space Percentage), rate setting, and cash flow management.
• Assess client needs and recommend practical business solutions aligned with EEBC methodologies.
• Build trusted client relationships through a professional coaching and consulting approach.
• Prepare for training sessions using approved facilitator guides and materials.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and improve training resources.
• Document consulting sessions accurately and maintain client records.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback and performance metrics.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
• Represent EEBC with professionalism in all client interactions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Early Childhood Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience as a Child Care Center Director, Family Child Care Owner/Director, Child Care Consultant, or in a similar leadership or consulting role.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of Family Child Care (FCC) financial operations, including revenue streams, expense tracking, grant management, and tax/accounting nuances specific to home-based businesses.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, Google Meet, and project management platforms such as Monday.com.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running, managing, or consulting directly with Family Child Care home providers.
• Familiarity with child care subsidy programs, food programs (CACFP), and federal/state child care grant reporting.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and facilitation techniques.
• Experience developing training materials or learning resources.
• Familiarity with virtual and blended learning environments.
• Knowledge of child care business operations and industry best practices.
