  • Adapt study designs, endpoints, and levels of rigor based on business and regulatory requirements
  • Execute research across traditional site-based clinical settings and decentralized/virtual environments
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and oversee analytic execution with senior scientific review
  • Identify and mitigate methodological risks related to bias, confounding, and interpretability
  • Ensure analytic outputs are defensible for peer review, internal decision-making, and appropriate claims development
  • Serve as lead or contributing author on peer-reviewed publications and scientific communications
  • Collaborate with academic investigators and external partners on study design, execution, and dissemination
  • Translate research findings into clear, defensible insights tailored to product, marketing, medical, and legal/compliance stakeholders
  • Align research designs with downstream business use cases while upholding scientific integrity
  • Represent Noom's research function in cross-functional and external forums

About You

If you're interested in shaping the future of health by generating rigorous, credible evidence that drives trust and growth across innovative health programs, this role may be for you!

You Have

  • PhD with advanced training in clinical research methodology, behavioral science, and statistical analysis
  • 5-7+ years of related experience designing and executing rigorous clinical studies
  • At least 3 years of experience in an academic research setting preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in a corporate or for-profit environment (e.g., digital health, healthcare technology, life sciences) supporting evidence generation and claims development for consumer-facing products preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the biological and behavioral mechanisms underlying GLP-1-based therapies
  • Hands-on experience executing clinical trials, including traditional site-based and decentralized/virtual designs
  • Strong statistical expertise and experience overseeing end-to-end analytic workflows
  • Proven ability to connect study design and outcomes to claims development and business decision-making
  • A publication track record demonstrating methodological rigor and analytical excellence
  • Experience securing federal or peer-reviewed grant funding
  • Experience collaborating with academic teams and commercial partners
  • Demonstrated success interfacing with product and marketing teams to meet business objectives
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks

What Makes This Job Amazing

  • The opportunity to shape evidence strategy across innovative, high-impact health programs
A highly visible, senior IC role with meaningful influence on product and scientific strategy
  • The chance to publish, collaborate externally, and elevate Noom's scientific credibility
  • The ability to translate rigorous science into real-world health impact at scale

What You'll Earn and Enjoy

  • Pay that reflects your impact. Compensation benchmarked to the market and shaped by your impact and value.
  • Investment in your future. A 401(k) with company match to help you build long-term financial security.
  • Time to truly recharge. Paid holidays, generous time off, Summer Fridays, and a company-wide Summer Break week so the whole team can unplug together.
  • Care that covers it all. Access to top-tier medical plans for you and your family, including a premium-free plan option, alongside dental, vision, and life insurance.
