Prep Academy Tutors of Upper Manhattan & the Bronx is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate Academic Tutors to support students in grades K12 across a variety of subject areas. Our tutors provide personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's academic needs, learning style, and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one academic tutoring in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and/or Foreign Languages)

Qualifications

  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience (classroom, private tutoring, or small-group instruction)

  • Reliable transportation (for in-person tutoring assignments)

Requirements

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor's degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

You hold a valid NY State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof

You are a current student teacher; pursuing a teaching certificate

You have 2 or more years experience as a classroom teacher in a private or charter school.

You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College

You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
