Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and passionate SAT English Tutor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate has a strong command of SAT Reading, Writing, and grammar concepts, as well as the ability to teach effective test-taking strategies. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling and the potential for long-term collaboration based on performance and student demand.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction in SAT Reading & Writing

  • Teach students core concepts, including:
    • Reading comprehension
    • Rhetoric and text analysis
    • SAT grammar rules and conventions
    • Sentence structure, transitions, and logical flow
  • Develop personalized learning plans based on student needs
  • Assign and review practice tests, providing detailed feedback
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and student engagement
Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (English, Linguistics, Education, or related field preferred)
  • Prior experience teaching SAT English or test prep strongly preferred
