This opportunity entails being responsible for the creation and design of a variety of multimedia content. Interfaces and collaborates with interdisciplinary multimedia staff to provide visual communication strategies and products for project pursuits.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled videographer and video editor with demonstrated expertise in professional video capture, storytelling, post-production editing, and content delivery across multiple platforms. This position requires periodic local travel, anticipated on a quarterly basis, to support program initiatives, capture on-site content, and contribute to the successful delivery of multimedia projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates graphic designs, information graphics, user interface designs, motion graphics, and basic front end web designs that ensures ease of navigation and clearly communicates abstract concepts.
  • Designs a variety of multimedia content for projects from videos, photos, audio and clip art using software applications, techniques, and tools.
  • Creates 3D models, textures, effects, materials and animates objects for virtual environments and graphic design
  • Plays an active role in all aspects of the creative team design process including identifying user needs, requirement definitions, and storyboarding.
  • Interfaces with an interdisciplinary multimedia development staff, including close development work with content development staff.
  • Helps with taking all forms of photography and video.
  • May interview clients and quickly sorts out project requirements to determine appropriate visual, textual, and animated elements of the project.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate degree in Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field and 3 years relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education, 5 years relevant experience preferably in transportation, engineering, architecture, or multimedia industry

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience with Adobe Premier is a must
  • Working knowledge of multimedia design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, presentation software, 3D or particle animation software, and other assets creation software) to produce multimedia content.
  • Experienced in using an artistic eye towards composition with videography, photography, and/or production.
  • Using Mac and/or PC with proficiency.
  • Taking a leading role in working with the team to storyboard and identifying assets needed to deliver the end product.

What We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Cinematography Art, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Proven experience in visual storytelling
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel of work
  • 3+ Years in video capture and editing suites experience
