Job description

Join Community
Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, "community" is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered - and we couldn't do it without you.
Make a Difference
The Cloud Engineer, Citrix is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of Citrix-based solutions that enable secure, reliable, and high-performance virtual desktop and application delivery. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Citrix environments to support organizational objectives and end-user productivity.
Key responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (on-premises/Azure and/or Citrix Cloud) to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective actions to maintain high availability and optimal user experience.
  • Manage user profiles and policies using Citrix Profile Management, FSLogix, or equivalent tools.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations of Citrix infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Provide technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for Citrix environments.
  • Work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for Citrix services.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting enterprise cloud environments with foundational knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Citrix environments (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, Citrix ADC/NetScaler).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or XEN.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and hybrid deployments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) or higher certification preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, or third-party solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN technologies.
  • Knowledge of Epic or certification is highly desired.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with high availability requirements.
  • May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance, upgrades, or incident resolution.
  • This position follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires an onsite presence once a week and as needed.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
  • Occasional visits may be required to Community Health Network data center locations.
