Job description

Lead the Future of Precision Sensing: Lead Electronic Verification and Validation Engineer

As a key leader within our Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies joint venture, you will spearhead the validation of advanced IMUs and sensing solutions that power the worlds most sophisticated off-highway equipment. You will bridge the gap between digital design and physical performance, ensuring our cutting-edge electronic systems thrive in the most demanding real-world environments while driving innovation at the intersection of two global industry leaders.

About Us

Trimble is a global technology company that connects the physical and digital worlds, transforming the ways work gets done. With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.

About Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT)

The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning, control, and automation products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance. For more information on currently developed products, see http://construction.trimble.com/earthworks.

Field Systems: The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology.

What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you will hold the ultimate authority on product readiness, serving as the technical focal point across integrated teams to ensure our sensing components meet elite performance standards. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the entire validation strategy from simulation to machine-level field testing, directly influencing the reliability of global off-highway infrastructure solutions.

The Lead Electronic Verification & Validation Engineer is responsible for defining, planning, coordinating, and executing verification and validation activities for Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), angle sensors, and related electronic sensing components. The role ensures products meet performance, reliability, and quality requirements through structured, risk-based validation across the product lifecycle.

This role serves as the primary V&V focal point within integrated product teams, providing technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, systems, firmware, manufacturing, and machine test domains.
