As of Jun 12, 2026, the average yearly pay for virtual dermatologist in Boca Raton, FL is $357,522.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $352,100.00 and $379,600.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

High-paying jobs that can earn $2,000 or more per day include specialized medical roles such as virtual dermatologists, who often work as independent contractors or telemedicine providers. Other professions like top-tier surgeons, anesthesiologists, or certain legal and financial consultants may also reach this level with extensive experience and certifications. These roles typically require advanced education, licensure, and a high level of expertise.

What is the highest paid type of dermatologist?

Among dermatologists, cosmetic dermatologists tend to have the highest salaries due to their specialized procedures like laser treatments and cosmetic surgeries. They often earn more than general or medical dermatologists, especially those with advanced skills and certifications in aesthetic procedures.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Virtual Dermatologist position, and why are they important?

To excel as a Virtual Dermatologist, you must possess a medical degree with board certification in dermatology, strong diagnostic abilities, and up-to-date clinical knowledge. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, digital imaging tools, and secure patient data systems is necessary for effective and compliant remote consultations. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and adaptability are crucial to connect with patients virtually and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. These competencies ensure accurate diagnoses, positive patient experiences, and high-quality remote care delivery.

Is AI going to replace dermatologists?

AI can assist dermatologists by analyzing skin images and supporting diagnosis, but it is unlikely to fully replace the role of a dermatologist. The profession requires clinical judgment, patient interaction, and hands-on procedures that AI cannot perform. Dermatologists will continue to use AI as a tool to enhance patient care and efficiency.

Are there telehealth dermatologists?

Yes, virtual dermatologists provide telehealth services, allowing patients to consult with board-certified dermatologists remotely via video or online platforms. These professionals often use secure communication tools and may require specific licensing to practice across regions.

What is a Virtual Dermatologist job?

A Virtual Dermatologist is a licensed skin specialist who provides remote consultations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients via telemedicine platforms. Using photos, video calls, and digital health records, they assess skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and skin cancer. This role allows dermatologists to offer expert care without requiring in-person visits, making dermatology services more accessible. Virtual Dermatologists may work independently, for telehealth companies, or as part of a larger medical practice.

What are some common challenges faced by Virtual Dermatologists, and how are they addressed?

Virtual Dermatologists often face challenges such as limited ability to perform in-person examinations or procedures and the need to rely on patient-provided images or video quality. These challenges are addressed through rigorous patient education on how to capture and share high-quality images, the use of advanced telemedicine tools, and clear protocols for determining when an in-person referral is necessary. Collaboration with primary care providers or local healthcare facilities may also be required for comprehensive care. Despite the remote nature of the work, maintaining clear and empathetic communication helps build trust and ensures patients receive accurate recommendations and timely follow-up. This approach allows for effective virtual care while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Job description

Aesthetic Medical Director (Dermatologist) โ€“ Flexible, Supplemental Income

Earn additional income while staying focused on your primary practice.

Must be based in Florida.

LaserAway is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to serve as an Aesthetic Medical Director across select Florida clinics. This is a low-time, high-impact role designed for physicians who want to expand into medical aesthetics or generate additional incomeโ€”without taking on a full-time commitment.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Supplemental Income: $1,000/month with minimal time commitment
  • Flexible Involvement: Combination of brief virtual oversight and quarterly site visits
  • No Disruption to Your Practice: Designed to fit alongside your current clinical responsibilities
  • Influence Without Burnout: Provide oversight and guidanceโ€”no day-to-day patient load required

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Provide medical oversight for aesthetic services (laser, injectables, skincare)
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and clinical standards
  • Partner with LaserAwayโ€™s clinical leadership to support safe, consistent care delivery
  • Conduct quarterly site visits and participate in occasional virtual check-ins
  • Serve as a medical resource to clinical teams when needed

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • M.D. or D.O. with an active, unrestricted Florida license
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Dermatology
  • Interest in aesthetic medicine (experience is a plus, not required)
  • Ability to provide high-level oversight in a fast-growing, multi-site environment

Locations

Jacksonville (Mandarin), Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Doral (Miami), Orlando, Fort Meyers, Midtown Miami

Ideal For Physicians Who:

  • Want additional, predictable income without adding clinical hours
  • Are curious about or experienced in medical aesthetics
  • Prefer a flexible, advisory-style role vs. hands-on treatment
