Data Analyst / Report Developer
Lake Forest, IL
Hybrid role (Onsite 3x/week)
$30-$35 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join as a Data Analyst / Report Developer (Label Conversion) and play a key role in a large-scale label conversion and standardization initiative, impacting approximately 400 labels across multiple product lines. This project, extending into 2026-2027, is critical to ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability of label data within a global manufacturing environment. You will work onsite in Lake Forest, IL three days per week, collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience with real systems, develop technical skills, and grow into more advanced roles. Success in this position means delivering accurate conversion and validation of all assigned labels, with opportunities to expand into technical configuration, troubleshooting, and project coordination as you progress.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Convert and recreate labels from legacy templates into a new system using Library Label Designer as the primary tool
  • Execute high-volume, repeatable data conversion tasks using drag-and-drop and formula-based logic
  • Work directly with label file formats to accurately replicate logic and structure
  • Perform meticulous data entry and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of label information
  • Configure advanced parameters for dynamic, data-driven label design as responsibilities expand
  • Troubleshoot issues in label logic and system configuration, supporting technical validation efforts
  • Assist with light project coordination, documentation, and process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of conversion processes and outcomes
  • Collaborate onsite with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and effective communication
  • Gain exposure to label systems, application development environments, and GS1 barcode data standards (training provided)
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with strong energy, curiosity, and a genuine interest in technology/software
  • Technically inclined, with an educational background or mindset in engineering, MIS, CS, or similar fields
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage repetitive, structured work with consistency
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Ability to commute to Lake Forest, IL and be onsite three days per week (onsite presence is critical for collaboration)
  • Exposure to data, reporting tools, or basic programming (preferred)
  • Interest in application development, systems work, or technical project coordination (preferred)
  • Prior internship or project experience (preferred)
  • Coachability, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude are valued over deep prior experience
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • Hands-on experience with real systems in a global manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to development, data, and operational systems, with training on GS1 barcode data standards
  • Opportunities to grow into more technical and project-based roles as the project evolves
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment with direct access to stakeholders
  • Competitive hourly compensation
  • Potential for long-term engagement as the project extends into 2026-2027
