The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.
The impact you'll make
The Industrial Engineer 3 will work to improve factory performance through data-driven analysis, decision support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will influence manufacturing capacity, labor productivity, factory layout strategy, operational visibility, and key business decisions.
What you'll do
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions that support operational decision-making.
  • Develop and support Power BI dashboards, workspaces, and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain capacity models, labor analyses, forecasts, and reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain factory layout solutions that support manufacturing flow, capacity, space utilization, densification efforts, and operational efficiency.
  • Aggregate, cleanse, and validate data from manufacturing systems and databases.
  • Support labor standards development, productivity improvement, and capacity planning activities.
  • Support new product introductions, product transitions, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with local and global stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a collaborative problem solver who enjoys working with data, understands manufacturing operations, and is passionate about continuous improvement. The ideal candidate can translate complex data into actionable insights and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain with 5 year's related experience; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with manufacturing data and operational metrics.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Python or analytics automation toolls; experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern data analytics platforms.
  • Experience administering and supporting Power BI workspaces and reporting environments.
  • Experience with capacity planning, labor analysis, forecasting, and resource modeling.
  • Experience with factory layout planning, space utilization, densification efforts, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in semiconductor or other high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional or global teams.
