Job Purpose/Scope

The OT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the manufacturing facility's information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of network systems, servers, virtualization platforms, and plant-floor connectivity.
This position requires a hands-on technical professional capable of independently managing network and server environments while providing responsive support to local operations. The individual must be willing to manage being on-call and respond to critical system issues outside normal business hours when required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:Essential Functions:30%     Administer, monitor, and maintain local area networks (LAN) in an OT environment.20%     Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity issues.20%     Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.10%     Administer VMware virtual infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, backups, and system performance monitoring.10%     Perform server patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.5%       Ensure system availability through routine maintenance, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.5%       Provide basic manufacturing support for OT software systems. Secondary Functions ·                     Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain reliable communications between IT and OT environments.·                     Assist in troubleshooting network-related issues affecting production equipment and industrial systems.·                     Follow cybersecurity best practices for industrial control system environments.·                     Manage backup systems and verify successful completion of backup jobs.·                     Perform recovery testing and assist in business continuity planning.·                     Maintain documentation for disaster recovery procedures. Knowledge/Experience/Skills: 
    • Knowledge
      • A minimum of an associate degree in Information Technology, certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA or equivalent hands-on experience with SCADA, PLCs, firewalls, and system monitoring tools.
      • Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity, industrial automation systems
      • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in MS OS installations and setup (Server and Workstation), PC hardware, LAN connectivity, and devices.
      • Experience in the support of manufacturing processes and operations.
    • Skills
      • Must be capable of utilizing analytical skills to identify and provide solutions to problems quickly and effectively and must possess commitment and follow through in the completion of tasks.
      • Must be a good communicator and team player; capable of working across all functional departments, executive and corporate staff.
      • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
