As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and treatment needs.
• Create and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to assist patients in processing their trauma and acquiring essential coping strategies.
• Partner with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and navigation of available resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and contribute to team meetings aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Stay informed on the latest research developments and treatment methodologies in the field of trauma therapy.

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and other life-altering events. You will play a crucial role in guiding them toward recovery through holistic and compassionate therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Kansas.
• A foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and team members.
• An ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value a strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices and the ability to deliver effective, evidence-based therapies.
