The Manager, Value Proposition is responsible for leading the ongoing evolution, growth, and commercialization of the award-winning My Financial Progress (MFP) goal-based planning tool and other goals-based experiences within BMO's Goal Ecosystem that help Canadian Personal Banking customers achieve Real Financial Progress.

This role serves as the business and digital product manager for My Financial Progress, owning product strategy, roadmap development, feature enhancements, and delivery of initiatives that drive customer adoption, engagement, and product conversion. The successful candidate will identify and implement opportunities to monetize the platform by integrating goals-based insights, personalized recommendations, and product offers into the customer experience.

The role requires a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with strong digital product management experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders. Working closely with Product, Digital, Technology, Analytics, Customer Segments, Marketing, Loyalty, Salesforce Enablement, and Virtual Connect teams, the individual will develop and execute strategies that increase customer value, deepen banking relationships, and support business growth.

Key Accountabilities

Digital Product Management

  • Serve as the product manager for My Financial Progress and subject matter expert for BMO's Goal Ecosystem.
  • Develop and execute the product roadmap, including feature enhancements, capability development, and customer experience improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer adoption, engagement, and product conversion through improved digital experiences and goals-based personalization.
  • Champion the voice of the customer in product development and prioritization decisions.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, requirements definition, business casing, implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Partner with Digital and Technology teams to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure successful delivery of initiatives.

Growth Strategy and Monetization

  • Define and execute growth strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and monetization of My Financial Progress, including customer acquisition, product cross-sell, and deposit growth opportunities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase product penetration, deepen customer relationships, and support deposit and revenue growth.
  • Leverage customer insights, behavioral data, and analytics to develop targeted strategies that influence customer actions and improve business outcomes.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Growth, Segment, and Loyalty teams to integrate relevant banking solutions and offers into goals-based customer experiences.
  • Develop recommendations and business cases supporting future investment opportunities and product enhancements.

Project Ownership and Execution

  • Own and lead strategic digital initiatives and cross-functional projects from business case development through implementation and post-launch optimization.
  • Drive project planning, stakeholder alignment, requirements gathering, risk management, and change management activities.
  • Influence partners across business, digital, analytics, technology, and operations teams to achieve project objectives and timelines.
  • Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Navigate ambiguity and proactively resolve issues to maintain delivery momentum.

Business Performance and Insights

  • Establish success metrics and performance tracking for product adoption, engagement, customer outcomes, and conversion.
  • Accountable for achieving adoption, engagement, conversion, and business performance targets for My Financial Progress.
  • Analyze product and customer performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Translate complex data and insights into actionable business strategies and decisions.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services, digital product management, product strategy, or digital channel management.
  • Proven experience managing digital products and leading cross-functional projects from concept to implementation.
  • Strong product management capabilities, including roadmap development, prioritization, business requirements, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience developing growth strategies focused on customer adoption, engagement, and product conversion.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into recommendations and action plans.
