Job description

Valiant is looking for a WARSIM Database Administrator to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM), Database Manager. Responsible for planning, developing, and executing constructive simulation training activities and scenarios.

Develop, manage, and maintain the simulation database, using tools such as the Joint Training Data Services (JTDS). Develop, test, and evaluate new platforms against current platforms in WARSIM database. * Enter all weapons and Force data; create operational graphics and overlays for the simulation systems.

Develop and enter BLUFOR/OPFOR/Neutral force structure according to doctrinal standards. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Active Secret preferred. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma Must have Security+ certification and additional certifications to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification. * Desired: Associate degree in computer/information technology, or mathematics, or related field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years' military experience or 7+ years working in support of military operations, as a civilian. 1+ years' experience with WARSIM or other entity level combat simulation. * Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows.

In depth knowledge of military equipment, organization and capabilities. Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with large scale live, virtual, constructive exercises, ideally at a Combat Training Center or mission training complex. 2+ years' experience at a military battle simulation center. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
