Job description

Are you a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Easterseals PORT Health looking for a leadership role? The Residential team is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated QP to lead a team of caregivers as the Residential Group Home Manager. The team works diligently and with care to support the residents living in the home with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood in Charlotte, NC.

What You’ll Do

As the Residential Manager at our group home in you will provide supervision and oversight of services for the residents of the home. You will participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals. Hiring, training and development, supervision and monitoring, compliance over direct support staff and individuals served are essential components of this role. The Manager ensures quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare while collaborating with families and external entities. The Manager is also accountable for adhering to policies, managing attendance, and completing required training.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

To join our team, you must have in-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and techniques as well as their practical application in a group home setting, be able to work independently, be adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.

  • We also require proof of Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited institution in a Human Services program
  • You must meet the qualifications for a NC mental health qualified professional
  • A valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance
