Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist (DACVIM)- Veterinary Emergency Center of Redlands

Veterinary Emergency Center of Redlands, part of Veterinary Innovative Partners (VIP), is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Internal Medicine Specialist to join our collaborative specialty and emergency team. This role is intentionally structured to support clinical excellence, sustainability, and professional autonomy allowing you to focus on medicine without the burnout, often associated with specialty practice.

Role Overview

The Internal Medicine Specialist will provide advanced diagnostic and medical care for complex cases while working closely with emergency clinicians and referring veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a wide range of internal medicine cases, including gastrointestinal, endocrine, immune-mediated, infectious, respiratory, and hematologic conditions
  • Performing and interpreting advanced diagnostics
  • Developing individualized treatment plans with clear, compassionate client communication
  • Collaborating with ER clinicians and hospital teams to support continuity of care
  • Serving as a clinical resource and mentor for veterinarians and support staff

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-Certified (DACVIM) or Residency-Trained in Internal Medicine
  • Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to medicine
