Vevo is available on YouTube, Samsung, Samsung TV Plus, Roku, The Roku Channel, Pluto TV, Amazon Prime Video, VIZIO WatchFree+, Foxtel, Hulu + Live TV, Sling Freestream, and Rakuten TV.

About Role:

We are looking for a Social Media Associate Manager to join our social team.

While this role covers essential social media management, your dual superpowers must be concise writing and editorial calendar strategy. We are developing a new suite of video-centric editorial assets, and we need a writer who can edit ruthlessly, craft punchy copy, and convey an artist's story in a few well-chosen words.

Additionally, you will own the publishing schedule-making sharp editorial calls on how Vevo leverages current social trends, cultural moments, holidays, and awards season. Crucially, you will also dive deep into Vevo's extensive video archive to unearth nostalgic gems, celebrate major album and video anniversaries, and resurface vintage moments for today's fans.

As a member of our team, you will:

Copywriting & Content Creation

  • Write for Video: Craft brief, accurate, and engaging micro-copy for on-screen editorial assets and hosted scripts.

  • Maximize Word Efficiency: Distill complex artist backstories, video facts, and pop culture lore into punchy, engaging copy that grabs viewer attention instantly.

  • Maintain Brand Voice: Help refine and maintain a sharp, authoritative, and music-obsessed editorial voice for Vevo's social content.

  • Collaborate on Production: Partner closely with video editors, graphic designers and on-camera talent to ensure copy aligns seamlessly with visual and audio elements.

Editorial Strategy & Calendar Ownership

  • Own the Calendar: Serve as the strategic owner of Vevo's day-to-day social publishing schedule across all core platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).

  • Identify Brand-Relevant Trends: Evaluate emerging social trends, internet culture, holidays, and pop culture events, making swift judgments on where and how Vevo can naturally join the conversation.

  • Archive & Nostalgia Mining: Actively pitch and program content from Vevo's vast library of historical and vintage music videos to highlight anniversaries, artist milestones, and throwback pop culture moments.

  • Bridge Past and Present: Connect classic music moments with current cultural trends, giving legacy catalog content fresh relevance for modern social audiences.

Social Execution & Analytics

  • Manage Publishing: Oversee precise, error-free scheduling and native posting across platforms.

  • Track Performance: Monitor social analytics and editorial asset engagement, using performance insights to refine future copy and content themes.

  • Asset Creation: Create video and image assets within templated formats

  • Navigate Social Media Management Tools: Experience with social media management software such as DashSocial, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or Sprinklr.

This describes you:
  • Editorial Judgment: Proven ability to manage a brand calendar, leverage social trends, and curate archival or nostalgia-focused content.

  • Mastery of Brevity: A writing portfolio showcasing your ability to write clear, punchy, and space-efficient micro-copy. You know how to make every word count.

  • Music Knowledge & Curiosity: Broad, multi-genre music literacy spanning both contemporary pop culture and historical catalog music.

  • Extreme Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail, fact-checking, and grammar-ensuring music history, artist names, and video facts are always accurate.

  • Platform Expertise: Mastery of native social tools, current video formats, and community behavior across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years in social media management, copywriting, or music/culture journalism.

  • Social Media & Channel Management:  Proven experience managing multi-channel social media profiles (including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms) using social management tools such as Dash Social or equivalent platforms.

  • Publishing & Analytics: Strong proficiency in social media scheduling, publishing workflows, and analytical tools to track performance metrics, generate insights, and optimize content strategy.

  • Content & Editorial Writing: Exceptional short-form writing and editorial skills, ideally with a background in journalism focusing on music, media, and/or entertainment, with a knack for crafting engaging, audience-focused copy.

Interested? Great! You might like to know:
  • We're a fun, energetic, and tight knit team

  • We really enjoy music and technology

  • We have excellent compensation and benefits packages

  • We have premier access to music content and new releases of original media content
