Bartender / Server – Part-Time Evenings

Vino Bistro | Sarasota, FL

Location: 1419 5th Street, Sarasota, FL 34236 – Rosemary District / Downtown Sarasota
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $15.00 per hour + Tips
Schedule: Evening shifts, Tuesday–Saturday

Join the Vino Bistro Team

Vino Bistro is a locally owned wine bar and tapas restaurant in Sarasota’s Rosemary District. We offer a curated selection of wines, elevated small plates, and live entertainment in a relaxed, upscale atmosphere.

We are looking for an experienced, personable, and dependable Bartender / Server who enjoys hospitality, connecting with guests, and working in an energetic environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent evening hours, supplemental income, and strong tip potential.

Schedule

Tuesday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
Friday–Saturday: 5:00 PM–10:00 PM

Candidates do not necessarily need to be available for every shift, but Friday and Saturday evening availability is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to every guest
  • Greet guests and create a welcoming dining experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and serve wine, beer, and cocktails
  • Help guests navigate our wine selection and recommend wines based on their preferences
  • Enter orders accurately into the POS system
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
  • Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout service
  • Process payments and close checks accurately
  • Maintain clean and organized tables, bar, and service areas
  • Reset tables promptly for incoming guests
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and other team members
  • Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and side-work duties
  • Follow all Vino Bistro service standards, house rules, and restaurant policies
  • Support the team during live music, private events, and busy service periods

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant serving or bartending experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Friendly, professional, and confident personality
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Willingness to learn and follow established procedures and service standards
  • Interest in wine and food is strongly preferred

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Previous wine bar or upscale casual dining experience
  • Knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and food pairings
  • Toast POS experience
  • Wine education or certification such as WSET or CMS
