ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
Luxury Resort • Caribbean • USD $55,000 + Housing + Service Charge
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for an Assistant Director of Facilities for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a specialized leadership role focused exclusively on the villa operation, overseeing both the Housekeeping Manager and Engineering Manager within that space. The primary focus of this role is housekeeping excellence across the villas, with an equally sharp eye on the engineering and asset management side to ensure the physical environment is maintained to the highest luxury standards.
We are looking for a seasoned Housekeeping leader, someone who has operated as a Director of Housekeeping or Executive Housekeeper, who also brings strong attention to detail from a facilities and asset management perspective.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Oversee the full villa housekeeping operation, ensuring consistently exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness
  • Supervise the Villa Housekeeping Manager and Villa Engineering Manager, providing direction, support, and performance oversight
  • Champion asset management across the villas, identifying maintenance needs proactively and ensuring the physical product is always guest-ready
  • Work closely with Engineering to monitor villa condition, preventive maintenance schedules, and prompt resolution of defects
  • Uphold Forbes Travel Guide standards across all villa housekeeping and facilities functions
  • Drive quality control through regular villa inspections and hands-on involvement in daily operations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Rooms on operational strategy, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and motivate the villa housekeeping and engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience as a Director of Housekeeping or Executive Housekeeper in a luxury property - this is the core requirement
  • Villa or luxury residence experience is essential
  • Forbes luxury hotel management experience required
  • A sharp eye for detail from an engineering and asset management perspective
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing department heads
  • Meticulous attention to presentation standards and the ability to identify and resolve issues before they reach the guest
  • Caribbean experience is not required for this role
