Job Summary

The VOC Custodian Lead provides support to the department by working closely with supervisor/manager to meet the needs of the internal and external guests. Coordinates and trains team members on work duties and departmental policies and procedures. Performs a variety of duties in general maintenance and housekeeping at the Viejas Outlet Center, Bingo Hall, administrative buildings, and training center.

Job Description

Coordinates the work of team members.Develops and maintains scheduling of staff to meet and/or exceed department service requirements.Resolves problems or refers matter to supervisor/manager.Observes and documents team member's guest service and technical performance.Trains team members on departmental policies and procedures and documents the training.Assists with ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed.Ensures staff is aware of marketing promotions and changes related to Viejas Enterprises' policies and procedures.Schedules and completes carpet shampooing and extraction.Maintains all floor equipment in good working order.Maintains professional demeanor and communication.Maintains consistent attendance, punctuality, and appearance that contribute to a high level of team performance and guest service.Responds in a timely manner to trouble calls such as store issues, leaks, lights, restrooms, etc.Responds to maintenance emergencies as needed.Documents call incidences as appropriate.Assists in preparing the facilities for special events, including setting up and taking down chairs for shows in the Show Court and Park.Ensures housekeeping and maintenance equipment are maintained and available for use.Picks up trash, empties trash in receptacles, and transports trash to central deposit areas.Removes gum, spider webs, and spills throughout the Outlet Center. Cleans directories, show card holders, and signage.Cleans restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, and floors. Replenishes paper products as needed.Collects and bales cardboards. Monitors and ensures that parking lots are cleaned.Cleans blood borne pathogens and other biological spills.Always handles cleaning chemicals as directed using proper formula for their safe use. Refrains from depositing harmful products into sewage system.Cleans/moves furniture and washes windows occasionally.Cleans light fixtures as required.Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines Performs other duties as assigned.Does provide supervision to other team members.Working lead, assists with training, assigns tasks, and monitors work performance of team members.High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Valid Driver's License Required.Clean Driving Record Required. Must be age 21 years of age or older.5 or more years of related experience and/or training.Ability to lead and mentor a team.Knowledge and proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions.Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude. Ability to multitask and work well under stress.Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.Ability to use computers and Microsoft Outlook
