Job description

PURPOSE:
The Video Engineer is responsible for assisting in all video related applications during live services at Calvary Albuquerque. This position performs live production of church services and special events as well as provides technical support for the church's video needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and tear down of live production equipment (cameras, tripods, computers, monitors, jib, and screens)
  • Operate cameras, jib, and Pro Presenter
  • Set up cameras, capture devices, and computers for other services around campus
  • Set up and tear down of field and studio recording equipment such as cameras, tripods, lights, audio devices (mics and audio recorders), teleprompter, and green screen

ESSENTIAL TASKS:
  • MAIN SANCTUARY SERVICES
  • Assist in setup and teardown of all video equipment needed
  • Operate cameras, camera jib, graphics/lyrics display
  • Assist with setup/teardown of all service-related video equipment
  • SPECIAL SERVICES/EVENTS
  • Setup and teardown all equipment needed for remote or on-campus events
  • Operate cameras, computers and screens for all live events including:
    • Outdoor services
    • Baptisms
    • Concerts
    • Conferences
    • Weddings/Memorials

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • Conversant in MAC OS
  • Must have working knowledge of live television production including: camera operation, computer graphics, switching and routing, video production and camera controls
  • Strong work ethic and servant's heart
  • Ability to learn quickly and increase knowledge of new skills, programs, and equipment
  • Ability to quickly perform complicated tasks to a high quality and under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with talent and crew
  • Creativity and an eye for photography
  • Knowledge of camera and lenses and workflow of digital SLR cameras
  • Ability to organize and be prepared for live and field production
  • Basic knowledge of computer-based editing, webcasting and podcasting a plus
