Project ManagerOur client, Shel-Bar Electronic Industries Inc, based in Greatfalls and Houston, is hiring a Project Manager to join their quickly growing, industry leading, Security Systems Integration company. This role will be based out of Ohio (either the Cleveland or Canton Perry Office) and will be involved in managing projects across the Eastern USA. An American company specializing in the Integration of Security, Life Safety and Information Systems. They utilize an out of the box approach to their customers' design, installation, and integration security needs. Progressive and fast-growing, this electrical/security service company that takes great pride in providing their clients with professional trade experience. Their priority is client-focused medium to large scale access control and video management systems.A motivated, attentive and hardworking Project Manager with extensive project management experience, ideally with Physical Securities systems experience, including security access control, video management and audio visual. This role is managing all aspects of medium to large, complex projects. The ideal individual would have at least 3-5 years of experience. Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year (depending upon experience) Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (Full-Time) Typical day, although start and end times may vary. Overtime may be required based on project needs. Travel: This role will be a combination of in office and out of town. Travel will be significant with an estimated 2 weeks out of town and 2 weeks from the home base.Responsibilities Managing, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects for medium to large projects through to the completion. Coordinating security projects for 53 operational sites, including office buildings, microwave towers, and maintenance shops. Overseeing projects for a large energy-based client. This is a hands-on and in-person project position which will be on-site every day ensuring the success of contractors by careful planning, scheduling, coordination, and supervision. Inspect and assist with commissioning and closeout activities. Translating a wide variety of customer needs/requirements; reviews and approves estimated costs prior to bid; provisions technical assistance to the sales force as and when required; project design engineering; supervision of installation labour and sub-contractors' preparation of project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices; manage collections on projects. Develop detailed project execution plans, which may include site visits, documentation of and photographing, existing installations. Proactively communicating project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of job status, job changes, material flow, and other control records necessary for processing internal and external reports. Identifying potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines. Establish project milestones and analyze costs, utilizing financial systems to review actual versus estimated job cost and provide timely and accurate project cost report. Manage the execution and review of all scopes of work, terms, and conditions in customer contracts, including cost control, delivery fulfillment, quality of service, and other customer requirements as they arise. Provide project and stakeholder daily communications and updates. Perform a limited range of managerial responsibilities, including planning, assigning, and directing work, performance management, project budgeting, while overseeing subcontractor selection process and work. Re-IP cameras and devices. Edit and redline blueprints using Bluebeam or similar software. Create camera layout drawings using Axis Site Designer. Adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Support installation activities. Use hand and power tools to install, connect, and terminate devices, EOLR and diodes. Other tasks as required and assigned.Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience, ideally in an Access Control environment. 2-year associate degree in Project Management and/or a technical field involving IT Network, Electronics or Computers is an asset. Advanced technical knowledge on how access control and IDS systems are installed, wired and function. Knowledge and understanding of networking and network components and basic IT skills to determine IP address of device and network. Knowledge of industry standards, including security, electrical, and life safety codes. Software application proficiency: MS Suite Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word MS Project Bluebeam Adobe Acrobat Genetec Axis Device Manager Axis Site Designer Must foster collaboration and learning while focused on results. Strong organization skills to keep projects, materials and timelines on track. Self-motivated - work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify deviations from requirements. Strong verbal, written, and text/IM communication skills, while being professional and respectful to both internal and external stakeholders. Great time management skills, with experience in prioritizing tasks in order of urgency. Ability to document and articulate project status, deficiencies, and expectations. Analytic skills with the ability to apply them in reviewing data from field installations, invoices, and estimates and determining if the work and materials match. Must be able to pass and maintain Background Security Clearances. (drug, alcohol, and background screening)
