FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead and coordinate production teams to achieve established results while guiding, providing support, removing barriers, holding individuals and teams accountable and driving continuous improvement. Work with Team Leads and/or Cell Coordinators and act as liaison where appropriate between production team and rest of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for creating, managing and maintaining production schedule, jobs, and load levels.
  • Responsible for managing the material requirements plan through the proper use of planned orders, firm planned orders and released work orders.
  • Follows up on the progress of orders and expedites as necessary to ensure orders will be shipped on time.
  • Maintains close communication with Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Shipping and Customer Service.
  • Works with Accounting and Manufacturing on matters relating to material requisitions, production reporting, and inventory accuracy.
  • Responsible for analyzing all assigned inventories and establishing inventory planning factors as appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing the cycle count process in assigned areas and for initiating corrective action to prevent future errors.
  • Responsible for leading & managing physical inventory in assigned area.
  • Works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve and avoid problems in connection with schedules, production, material deliveries and the like.
  • Plans and schedules personnel assignments; coordinates flow of work between work centers and shifts; follows-up to ensure assignment and schedules are carried out.
  • Responsible for efficient use of labor hours, material, and machines.
  • Directs the proper care of all equipment, facilities, and machines in unit.
  • Conducts cross-training of employees.
  • Responsible for communicating information on problems, projects, schedules, etc. to other team members as needed.
  • Track e-time, points accumulation, and disciplinary status of machine cell employees.
  • Identify any employee issues as they occur and inform other team members of these issues to move toward resolution with strong support from others, including Operations Manager, Product Management, and Human Resources.
  • Support colleagues in self-direction and development initiatives.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment preferred
