We're Looking For A: Video Editor

Location: Hybrid (Woodland Hills, CA)

What You'll Be Doing: In this role as the Video Editor, you'll be responsible for video production, editing & crafting compelling visual narratives that resonate with Golden Hippo's target audience, and also drive marketing success. From brainstorming concepts to delivering polished final products, you'll be involved in every step of the process.

  • Edit and create long-form video content utilizing stock footage and in-house graphics.
  • Edit engaging short-form content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Analyze direct marketing trends and implement them in all the videos.
  • Conceptualize and pitch videos to the Marketing Team.
  • Collaborate with the writers and the Marketing Team to optimize creatives.
  • Compile and condense user generated assets into engaging video content.
  • Help manage the publishing process to ensure content is optimized across multiple platforms.

  • Aesthetic Excellence: Demonstrates a strong sense of composition and aesthetic decision‑making, ensuring that all video content aligns with high-quality visual standards.
  • Adobe Suite Proficiency: Possesses advanced skills in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with additional experience in Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator considered a valuable asset.
  • Media Encoding and Publishing: Holds a basic understanding of media encoding and publishing processes, contributing to the seamless dissemination of content across various platforms.
  • Cross-Platform Proficiency: Exhibits experience working with both Mac and/or PC computers, showcasing adaptability and versatility in a diverse technological environment.

The base salary range is $70,400 - $88,000 plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.

The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote.
