Job Summary
Optimum is looking for an energized individual to be part of the Video Product team that leads innovation in the portfolio of products that will drive the future growth of our business.
Candidate characteristics include:
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex deliverables accurately and efficiently
  • Self-starter who quickly assimilates complex subject matter and operates effectively in fast-moving environments
  • Working knowledge of the cable industry, either with a vendor partner or within an MVPD environment
  • Strong product knowledge and technical understanding of video CPE (Customer Premises Equipment), including set-top boxes, digital transport adapters, and remote controls
  • Proven ability to develop and execute CPE growth, lifecycle optimization, and deprecation strategies
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on approach and willingness to drive initiatives through execution
  • Effective balance of strategic thinking, creativity, and practical problem solving to advance product and operational objectives

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for video CPE and product experiences, shaping strategy and leading initiatives to market with strong product-customer-market alignment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize utilization of existing video CPE inventory while evaluating customer impact and business value of introducing new equipment.
  • Request, source, and analyze internal and external data to inform a comprehensive, data-driven view of the video CPE ecosystem and customer landscape.
  • Develop and deliver Director+ cross-functional presentations and roadshows; lead cross-functional programs; and drive business cases, assist with financial modeling, and approvals
  • Act as the subject matter expert across Video and Entertainment, including customer journey, process improvement initiatives, KPIs, reporting, and go-to-market execution.
  • Monitor end-to-end CPE performance metrics and recommend upgrade, replacement, and deprecation strategies based on device performance and customer experience insights.
  • Ensure end-to-end go-to-market readiness for video product and CPE launches, swap campaigns, and lifecycle initiatives (e.g., returns, replacement experiences).
  • Partner cross-functionally to execute operational launch requirements in alignment with established product launch governance and program frameworks.
  • Serve as the organization's video CPE expert, aligning cross-functional teams around shared priorities and unified execution objectives.
  • Identify communication risks associated with product initiatives and develop messaging strategies to ensure Care, Retail, and Sales teams are effectively prepared and enabled.
  • Support the Video and Entertainment product organization in delivering against operational, customer experience, and financial performance KPIs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management, consumer packaged goods brand management, consumer services, cable, telecommunications, or technology, with demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives under minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred
  • Engineering background or technical expertise in technology environments helpful but not required
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of video CPE with a strong focus on customer experience and operational performance
  • Working knowledge of business-to-consumer telecommunications products and technologies; product management and/or product development experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong listening, written, and executive-level presentation capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong business acumen with exposure to multiple functional areas, including product management, business development, vendor management, product marketing, and marketing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while collaborating effectively across teams and organizational levels
  • Experience supporting financial analysis, forecasting, or budget management preferred
  • Familiarity with AI Tools and AI First mindset

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire and does not reflect future job opportunity.
