Job description

  • You’re a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
    •  Business Technology Management, Engineering Technology Management, Business Administration
  • This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
  • Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
  • In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role  

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

The Business Assurance team protects and maximizes revenue while optimizing expenses by identifying, analyzing, and addressing revenue leakage, ensuring accurate customer billing and identifying opportunities to improve business processes, training, and use of automation. 

  • Intern will support the in-depth analysis of order-to-cash financial datasets to pinpoint discrepancies for potential under billing or over billing of services.
  • Root cause analysis, inclusive of scope and overall customer and revenue impacts, potential options to address the underlying issue(s) will need to be gathered and presented in close partnership with cross functional teams across BI, Sales, and Operations. 

Required qualifications

  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel - using VLOOKUP, pivot tables and logical formulas to reconcile large financial datasets
  • Data auditing & querying with basic SQL or Python script
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Basic financial tracking and problem-solving
