What is video on demand (VOD)?

Video On Demand (VOD) refers to a media distribution system that allows users to access video content whenever they choose, rather than at a scheduled broadcast time. VOD services can include movies, TV shows, and other video material, delivered over the internet or via cable/satellite TV platforms. Users can pause, rewind, and fast-forward content, offering a flexible and personalized viewing experience. Popular VOD platforms include Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.
