What does a typical day look like for someone working in Video Labelling?

A typical day in Video Labelling involves reviewing video footage, identifying and annotating specific objects or events according to project guidelines, and entering this data into specialized software tools. Team members often collaborate with data scientists, engineers, or quality assurance leads to ensure accuracy and consistency in the annotations. Depending on the project and employer, you may work independently or as part of a larger team, sometimes with set quotas or deadlines. This work is crucial for developing and refining AI and machine learning models, making attention to detail and adherence to standards especially important. Over time, experienced video labelling professionals may progress to quality assurance roles or team leads overseeing larger annotation projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Video Labelling position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Video Labelling professional, you should have excellent attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with visual content analysis. Knowledge of annotation platforms, video editing software, or AI training tools is often required, and experience with data labelling systems can be beneficial. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed guidelines are important soft skills for this role. These abilities ensure high-quality, consistent data annotation that directly supports machine learning and computer vision projects.

Is there a job that pays you to watch movies?

Video labeling jobs often involve watching movies or video content to annotate or categorize scenes for training AI models. These roles require attention to detail and familiarity with editing tools, and they are typically part-time or freelance positions. Such jobs are common in the tech and AI industries and may require basic computer skills and quality assurance checks.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

In the field of video labelling, high-paying roles typically do not reach $300,000 annually; such salaries are more common in executive, specialized technical, or management positions. Most video labelling jobs are entry-level or mid-tier roles with salaries significantly below that threshold. Advanced roles in related fields like AI development or data science may approach or exceed this level with experience and advanced skills.

What skills do you need for video annotation?

Video labeling requires attention to detail, strong visual perception, and the ability to accurately identify and categorize objects, actions, or scenes. Familiarity with annotation tools and basic understanding of video formats and data organization are also important skills for effective video annotation work.

New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new high-value client and partner relationships
  • Lead executive-level conversations with CMOs, CEOs, founders, agency owners, managing partners, franchise leaders, PE operators, and enterprise marketing teams
  • Own the full new business process from outreach and discovery through proposal, pitch, negotiation, and close
  • Position services around measurable business outcomes including revenue growth, customer acquisition, media efficiency, local market performance, and ROAS

Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and scale partner relationships with independent agencies, consulting firms, technology providers, data companies, franchise organizations, and enterprise service providers
  • Develop white-label and co-sell partnership models that allow partners to expand media capabilities while execution is managed behind the scenes
  • Build a referral and influence network that consistently creates high-quality pipeline

Organic Growth and Revenue Operations

  • Work with account leadership and client success teams to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of direct, partner-led, and referral-driven opportunities using CRM tools
  • Track performance across pipeline volume, conversion rate, average deal size, partner-sourced revenue, and recurring revenue growth
  • Help build repeatable systems that allow the company to scale growth beyond founder-led selling

What We're Looking For

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in growth, business development, sales leadership, strategic partnerships, media, consulting, or marketing services
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in an agency, media, AdTech, MarTech, SaaS, consulting, or professional services environment
  • Experience selling to executive-level buyers including CMOs, CEOs, founders, managing partners, franchise executives, and PE operators
  • Strong understanding of digital media, performance marketing, programmatic advertising, paid social, paid search, CTV/OTT, analytics, and cross-channel media strategy
  • Demonstrated success building strategic partnerships, referral channels, white-label relationships, or co-sell opportunities
  • Strong existing network across agencies, brands, consulting firms, franchise organizations, PE, or enterprise marketing
  • Commercial instincts around pricing, packaging, deal structure, and revenue quality
  • Experience managing CRM pipeline, forecasting, and revenue reporting
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment where strategy and execution happen simultaneously
  • Background in independent agencies, DSP/programmatic sales, management consulting, or multi-location enterprise growth is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading or mentoring growth, BD, or partnerships teams is a plus
