The group you'll be a part of
The Corporate Communications group is dedicated to bringing our brand to life on a global scale across our key audiences, both internally and externally, as well as ensuring that employees are engaged and informed so they can bring their best selves to work. In this role, you will report into the Executive and Employee Communications team and support colleagues across the entire Corporate Communications group.
The impact you'll make
You will be a core team member helping ensure successful execution of key corporate programs, initiatives, events, and campaigns. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of corporate functions and regions and spend time working on some of the organization's most critical programs.
The Communications Specialist will support the Executive and Employee Communications team by managing operational processes that ensure timely and accurate delivery of communications. Your contributions will be pivotal to efficient and effective execution and continuous improvement that drive the organization forward. This role is targeted to recent grads or those with just one or two years of experience. Lam Research provides excellent tools and opportunities to grow your career.
What you'll do
  • Collaborate across the Executive and Employee Communications team to help manage the execution and tracking of core programs and projects.
  • Manage deadlines and activities to keep deliverables on track and escalate concerns.
  • Support event execution, including logistics, speaker coordination, visa letters, materials management, booth and poster showcases, presenter follow-up, progress tracking, and survey reporting.
  • Conduct first-pass reviews of event materials and captions for formatting, branding, accuracy, accessibility, and obvious errors.
  • Triage requests for communications assistance and route appropriately.
  • Manage email distribution
    • Upload and schedule emails using the enterprise email distribution platform.
    • Ensure accurate targeting and compliance with internal communication standards.
  • Update intranet sites and create new ones on behalf of our business partners and programs.
  • Copy edit to ensure high quality
    • Review and edit communication materials for clarity, tone, and grammatical accuracy.
    • Maintain brand voice consistency across all employee-facing content.
  • Lead metrics management and reporting
    • Capture targeted metrics and upload them accurately in the dashboard.
    • Prepare metrics reports on projects for Corp Comm and business partners.
  • Coordinate translation activity
    • Manage translation workflows for multilingual communications.
    • Liaise with translation vendors and internal reviewers to ensure timely delivery and cultural accuracy.
  • Manage video captioning & accessibility
    • Oversee captioning for internal videos to meet accessibility standards.
    • Collaborate with vendors or internal teams for accurate transcription and formatting.
  • Promote compliance & governance
    • Ensure adherence to company communication policies and regional regulations.
    • Maintain documentation for audit and quality assurance purposes.

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field
  • Native proficiency in oral and written business English
  • Excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on the details
  • Ability to multi-task with agility and precision and efficiently organize workload according to defined priorities
  • Recent grads are encouraged to apply, especially those with intern or other limited experience in a Corporate Communications department

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with a global corporation and/or with content management systems, email platforms, video production, or other communication tools is a plus
