Job description

DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking active, passionate, and customer service-savvy professionals for the role of Manager. This position keeps you constantly on the move, with limited time spent sitting down. It may involve tasks that require you to be actively present and responsive in a fast-paced work environment.
A Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the operations and success of Activate. They report to and work closely with the General Manger to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities and contribute to achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.
Activate is taking entertainment into the future by fusing technology and physical activity together to create live-action gaming experiences. You and your group enter a game experience and become players who actively and mentally complete challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the store manager to oversee store operations, including inventory management and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the proper functioning, upkeep, and repair of various technological systems, equipment, and infrastructure within Activate.
  • Check customers in, take payments, and make reservations
  • Brief new groups prior to the start of the game;
  • Monitor customers in the gaming area and provide explanations if necessary;
  • Participating with customers in active games if needed to ensure customers have an excellent experience;
  • Maintain the rooms by cleaning, painting, and any required maintenance;
  • Troubleshoot, identify and make minor repairs in the event of a malfunction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including motivating and inspiring a team to achieve goals, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to adapt to unforeseen situations in a calm and efficient manner
  • Must be a people person - energetic, friendly, outgoing, and able to command attention in a crowd.
  • A strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Must be willing to work various shifts starting as early as 9 am and ending as late as 1 am. Managers will work within the given availability
