Job description

Join Amazon Entertainment's legal team and shape the future of how millions of people experience entertainment worldwide. As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you'll advise on cutting-edge content deals, navigate complex commercial agreements, and lead the transformation of legal operations through innovative technology solutions at the intersection of entertainment and artificial intelligence.
Key job responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate complex distribution, development, licensing, production, technology, and other commercial agreements with external partners
- Advise business teams on matters spanning intellectual property, new product initiatives, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Lead the implementation of artificial intelligence and advanced tools to improve legal processes, contract management, and operational efficiency
- Serve as lead counsel on strategic content acquisition deals and manage ongoing commercial relationships with key business partners
- Research and develop expertise on emerging regulatory matters and new product initiatives that impact the entertainment business
A day in the life
You'll be based in our Los Angeles office, supporting the Prime Video business as it delivers must-see movies, series, and premium sports to customers globally. Your day involves serving as a legal advisor and thought partner on both day-to-day matters and strategic initiatives

You'll own the full lifecycle of commercial agreements-from drafting and negotiating with content providers and technology vendors to closing deals that drive the business forward.
A significant part of your role centers on modernizing how we work. You'll lead the adoption of artificial intelligence tools to streamline legal operations, reduce manual processes, and generate insights that once took hours to produce in only minutes. This means identifying opportunities to improve contract cycle times, implementing advanced tools, and creating systems that enable faster decisions and greater consistency across the team.
Working directly with business colleagues, you'll serve as lead counsel on strategic content acquisition deals while managing existing commercial relationships

You'll also research emerging regulatory matters and new product initiatives that impact the business. Our legal team values solving complex problems through in-person collaboration with colleagues and creative business partners who are equally committed to excellence.
About the team
On the Prime Video Legal team, we operate with the highest standards of integrity and deliver results by seeing the big picture and obsessing over our customers. Our team runs toward challenges rather than away from them, building solutions and solving problems together

We value the camaraderie of working alongside one another in person as a legal team and with our brilliant and creative business partners across the organization.
Prime Video Legal is part of the Amazon Entertainment Legal group, which also includes Amazon MGM Studios, Amazon Music, Audible, Games, and Twitch. Together, we serve a global audience and support some of the most innovative entertainment initiatives in the industry. We're excited to welcome someone who shares our commitment to integrity, intellectual rigor, and collaborative problem-solving.
