Job Description:

The Technical Customer Service Multimedia Training Development department is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking 2D animator and Creative Designer to develop customer support interactive e-learning content that simplifies complex topics and ideas. Candidates must have the ability to be creative while working within branding standards, presenting concepts for review, and meeting tight deadlines. Adobe Creative Suite is our backbone of operation, so the candidate must be very comfortable using After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop. The successful candidate should have a strong track record of 2D animation and motion graphics, video editing, effective teamwork, innovation, and dedication to enhancing user experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transform complex technical concepts into modern animations, 2D graphics, and storyboards
  • Collaborate with team members, internal customers, and subject matter experts to create engaging end-user support content
  • Develop design elements including site layout, navigation, images, icons, and other multimedia assets to support product training and customer support initiatives
  • Consult with 3D designer on creation/integration of product models into videos and other interactive content
  • Develop new and inventive ways of applying visual design, animation, and graphic design into the integration of new media applications to promote customer support and engagement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in graphic design, interactive design, animation, and motion graphics. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Demonstrated experience developing graphic and video assets based on established storyboards

Preferred skills:

  • Possession of a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement, including new applications, technologies, and skills
  • Proven competency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated forward thinking related to responsive design and its impact on layout design
  • Experience designing training content
  • Experience creating engaging content while working within company brand guidelines
  • Experience creating content for social media
  • Military communications experience

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $63,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
