Social Media Video Content Creator

Zamzows Inc

Nampa, ID

Job description

Description

Zamzows is looking for a Social Media Video Content Creator who knows how to have fun, tell a great story, and make people stop scrolling. If you're the person who sees a houseplant, a dog, a bag of fertilizer, or a crazy garden transformation and immediately thinks, "We could make a great video out of this," we should probably talk.

We're looking for someone who is fun, engaging, creative, and comfortable being themselves on camera. Someone who can take what might seem like an ordinary product, tip, customer question, or everyday Zamzows moment and turn it into content people actually want to watch. And yes - you may occasionally find yourself talking to a camera while holding a tomato plant.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create fun, entertaining, and informative videos for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
  • Come up with creative ideas that make people stop scrolling
  • Shoot and edit short-form videos from start to finish
  • Get comfortable being on camera and occasionally convincing other members of the Zamzows team to join you
  • Turn gardening, lawn care, plants, pets, products, and everyday Zamzows moments into entertaining content
  • Create videos that educate without feeling like a lecture
  • Keep an eye on social media trends, sounds, memes, formats, and new ways to tell stories
  • Develop recurring video ideas and series that people look forward to
  • Help showcase our team, stores, products, customers, and the communities we serve
  • Work with the team to turn marketing  ideas into content that feels authentic and distinctly Zamzows
  • Pay attention to what's getting views, comments, shares, and engagement - then figure out how to make the next one even better

Who We're Looking For

You're probably a great fit if you:

  • Are fun, outgoing, and naturally engaging
  • Have a personality that comes through on camera
  • Love creating things and aren't afraid to try something different
  • Can make something interesting out of almost anything
  • Know how to tell a story in 30-60 seconds
  • Understand what makes people laugh, learn, or want to share something
  • Actually enjoy social media and understand what people are watching right now
  • Are comfortable being a little silly when the video calls for it
  • Can make great content without needing a giant production crew
  • Take feedback well and aren't precious about changing an idea
  • Can work independently but enjoy being part of a team
  • Are curious and willing to learn about gardening, lawn care, plants, pets, and the products we sell

You don't have to be a lifelong gardening expert.

But you should be excited to learn, ask questions, talk to people, and turn what you learn into great content.

What You Bring

Experience with some combination of:

  • Short-form video creation
  • Video editing
  • Social media content
  • Shooting with a phone, camera, or both
  • Lighting and audio
  • Storytelling and scripting
  • On-camera presenting or performance
  • Video editing software such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar

And here's the big one: SHOW US WHAT YOU CAN DO.

We care more about your creativity and the quality of your work than whether you have a particular degree.

YOUR PORTFOLIO IS REQUIRED

When you come to your interview, bring a portfolio of your work. Show us what you've made! It can include social media videos, funny videos, personal projects, commercials, reels, photography, animation, storytelling, or anything else that shows off your creativity. We want to see your style, your personality, and what makes your work stand out.

And We Want One More Thing...

Submit a 1-MINUTE VIDEO demonstrating your art and creativity.

There are no complicated rules. Make us laugh. Teach us something. Tell us a story. Show us a cool skill. Make something unexpected. It can be about Zamzows, gardening, your dog, your favorite plant, lawn care, or literally anything that shows us who you are as a creator. We're not looking for a Hollywood production. We're looking for a great idea, personality, creativity, and the ability to grab someone's attention.

Basically, make us say:  "Okay... we need this person making videos for us."

Why Zamzows?

Zamzows is all about helping people grow - their lawns, gardens, plants, homes, and communities.

We want our social media to reflect that same spirit.

That means we're not interested in boring, overly polished content that feels like an advertisement.

We want real people, real stories, useful information, humor, personality, and a whole lot of creativity.

You'll have the opportunity to help shape what Zamzows looks and sounds like on social media and bring our brand to life in ways that connect with today's customers.

What Success Looks Like

You make people: STOP SCROLLING ? WATCH ? LEARN/LAUGH ? SHARE ? FOLLOW ? COME SEE US

And maybe, along the way, you help someone finally figure out why their tomato plant looks sad. That's a win.

If you're creative, energetic, curious, comfortable on camera, and genuinely excited about making videos...

We want to meet you.
