This role can also be completed for academic credit, depending on your program’s requirements.

Role Snapshot Capture and shape day-to-day GWU stories. You film, edit, pitch ideas, and jump in as on-camera talent—all under guidance from the Social Media Manager.

Key Responsibilities

· Film dorm tours, student takeovers, event recaps, and Q&A segments

· Edit short-form video with captions, music, and hooks optimized for each platform

· Assist with event logistics (camera gear, lighting, setup)

· Post content on schedule and monitor basic metrics

· Contribute fresh concepts in weekly planning sessions


What You’ll Need

· At least one semester completed at GWU

· Working knowledge of mobile video editing apps

· Reliability for 7.5 hrs/week and campus event coverage

· Willingness to appear on camera when needed
