Job Summary

Charter., in partnership with Forge Virtual Studios, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Video Editing Intern who wants to develop their craft in a professional commercial environment.

This role is designed for someone who loves post-production, including organizing footage, assembling edits, refining stories, and preparing final exports. This is a post-production-focused internship rather than a general production or studio operations role. It is an opportunity for an aspiring editor to learn alongside an experienced creative team while contributing to real client work and internal content.

The Video Editing Intern will work closely with the Creative Director and other members of the creative team, supporting projects from media ingestion through final delivery. Projects will be scoped to the intern’s experience level, with regular mentorship and feedback. All client-facing work will be reviewed and approved by the Creative Director or an experienced editor before delivery.

Source music, sound effects, and stock assets when appropriate

Assist with basic color correction, audio cleanup, graphics updates, and finishing tasks as skill level allows

Incorporate creative feedback and make revisions while maintaining organized project versions

Content Support

Edit internal marketing, behind-the-scenes, case-study, and social media content

Create short-form edits for digital platforms

Support revisions based on feedback from the creative and marketing teams

Help maintain an organized media library and archive completed projects

Prepare reusable clips, selects, and assets from completed projects when requested

This role does not include primary responsibility for production crews, studio operations, social media management, or final client approvals. Occasional exposure to productions may be available when it supports the intern’s understanding of the editing process.
