Pay Rate Starting at: Level $18.50/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.
SUMMARY
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The assistant scan coordinator is responsible for maintaining clear, correct pricing throughout every department in the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that pricing throughout the store is clearly posted and correct
  • Follow all operating procedures for the scan department
  • File all necessary paper work for the scan department
  • Make sure any price discrepancies are fixed immediately
  • Spend the necessary time to select, train and develop scan department associates to maintain a steady reserve of personnel for each position
  • Write the schedule for the scan department team (when needed)
  • Oversee weekly price changes and review the work of the price change team to ensure accuracy
  • Communicate the importance of price accuracy to all department heads and store management
  • Maintain a positive work environment for associates and a positive shopping environment for the customers
  • Follow instructions from scan coordinator and act in their place when absent
  • Organization, planning and self-discipline

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
