POSITION SUMMARY
As a Social Media Content Creator you will independently capture, edit, organize, and help produce high-quality long-form and short-form content for our brands, campaigns, events, podcasts, and executive thought leadership.
This is a film-heavy, editing-forward role for a skilled creator who understands professional content capture, visual storytelling, and modern social media. You will film across studio shoots, executive sessions, events, travel, and day-to-day brand opportunities while partnering with Social Media and Production to deliver polished, platform-ready content.
The ideal candidate is confident behind the camera and in the edit. They can operate equipment independently, make strong creative decisions in real time, capture footage with the final story in mind, and turn raw footage into high-performing content that is ready for distribution.

OBJECTIVES
  • Partner with Social Media and Production teams to execute the creative vision for executive, brand, podcast, event, campaign, and social content.
  • Independently capture high-quality long-form and short-form video content, including teleprompter-based videos, talking-head content, interviews, podcasts, B-roll, behind-the-scenes footage, vlogs, event coverage, and social-first assets.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio, teleprompters, and related production equipment during studio shoots, on-location shoots, executive sessions, and live events.
  • Prepare for shoots by reviewing production direction, understanding content goals, following shot lists, and anticipating the coverage needed for final edits.
  • Proactively identify additional footage, angles, visual moments, and storytelling opportunities that strengthen the final product.
  • Independently edit polished short-form and select long-form video content, including social clips, trailers, recaps, podcast promotions, executive thought-leadership content, announcements, and timely brand opportunities.
  • Create engaging, platform-native edits with strong pacing, visual storytelling, music, sound design, captions, basic motion graphics, color correction, and formatting appropriate for each channel.
  • Collaborate with editors, vendors, and internal teams while owning assigned projects from raw footage through final delivery, including selects, B-roll, revisions, and delivery specifications.
  • Organize, label, upload, and archive footage in a highly structured manner using approved asset-management systems.
  • Leverage AI technologies and workflow tools to improve production efficiency, organization, editing, and team collaboration.
  • Stay current on social media trends, filming techniques, editing styles, camera technology, lighting, and platform-native content practices.
  • Support content capture during travel and live events as needed.

COMPETENCIES
  • Advanced experience producing, filming, and editing video content for digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of camera operation, framing, composition, visual storytelling, lighting, and audio.
  • Proven ability to capture footage with strong editorial judgment and an understanding of what will perform in the final edit.
  • Experience filming and editing long-form content, executive content, interviews, podcasts, events, branded campaigns, or social-first content.
  • Ability to confidently lead or support teleprompter-based shoots and work effectively in fast-moving live-production environments.
  • Advanced editing ability, including pacing, storytelling, sound design, music selection, captioning, basic motion graphics, color correction, and platform-native formatting.
  • Strong understanding of short-form content performance, including hooks, retention, visual variety, pacing, and audience-first storytelling.
  • Ability to independently take a project from shot list through capture, edit, revision, and final delivery while maintaining brand standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, including footage management, file naming, asset archiving, project tracking, and handoffs to editors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, and other editing or collaboration tools is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to create selects, clips, supporting assets, and clear project handoffs for editors and social teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, including identifying and resolving preventable visual, audio, and continuity issues before or during a shoot.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Social Media, Production, Paid Media, Sales, external vendors, and executive talent.
  • Ability to innovate with modern filming and social-content techniques while maintaining strong brand standards.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends, camera and lighting technology, and production practices that support engagement and performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in videography, filmmaking, video editing, content creation, production, or a related field.
  • Portfolio required, including examples that demonstrate both high-quality videography and finished editing work (Long form content, interviews, podcast, events, branded campaigns, etc).
  • Experience operating professional camera equipment is required. Experience across multiple camera systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience editing content in a high-volume brand, agency, production, media, event, or executive-content environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating polished, fast-turn social content in a deadline-driven environment is strongly preferred.
  • Photography experience is a plus, particularly for events, lifestyle, executive, or behind-the-scenes content.
  • Experience with project-management and asset-management tools such as Asana, Frame.io, cloud storage, or similar platforms is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift, carry, set up, and break down camera equipment and production gear.
  • Ability to travel at least twice per quarter or based on business needs, work on-site for events, shoots, and executive content sessions as needed.
  • Must be on-site at our Scottsdale, AZ office; this is not a remote role
