Video Content Creator & Social Media Specialist

Hale Law

Sarasota, FL

$25/hr

Full-time

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

The Role

We're looking for a video-first content creator to bring Hale Law's social media strategy to life across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. We already have the strategy — your job is to execute it exceptionally well, and video is the core of that execution. You'll film and edit the majority of our content, design supporting graphics, and keep our channels active, engaging, and on-brand.

The right person is an ambitious self-starter who takes ownership of execution, has real hands-on video editing experience, and is always looking for ways to make the content better. You'll film and edit video, design content that looks great, analyze what's working, and be the compassionate, trustworthy voice our audience hears every day.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Sarasota.

Compensation:

$20 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities:

Video production (the core of this role):

  • Film and edit high-quality videos using professional tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent) — this is the primary function of the role, not a supporting skill.

  • Plan and run shoots solo, including basic lighting and audio setup, directing subjects on camera, and capturing usable footage efficiently.

  • Edit long-form footage into short-form reels and TikToks with captions, motion graphics, and sound design suited to each platform.

  • Participate in and capture content at community events Hale Law sponsors, including some weekend and after-hours events.

  • Travel locally (~10% of the time) for content shoots at offices, events, and sponsorships (valid driver's license and reliable transportation required).

Content strategy and execution:

  • Execute Hale Law's social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, tailoring content to each platform's audience.

  • Develop original content (posts, reels, videos, graphics) aligned with Hale Law's brand voice and campaigns.

  • Design polished graphics and digital assets for social content that isn't video-based.

  • Create ad-ready content and contribute ideas to paid social campaigns (the marketing team manages the ad accounts).

  • Own and maintain the social media content calendar.

  • Schedule and publish content using Social Pilot, ensuring timely and consistent posting.

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align posts with active campaigns.

Community and performance:

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and DMs across all platforms, maintaining a compassionate and trustworthy tone.

  • Engage with followers, address inquiries, and stay on top of social listening.

  • Analyze engagement metrics (likes, shares, reach) and provide weekly KPI reports to the Marketing Director.

  • Adjust content and posting based on performance data to maximize reach and impact.

  • Optimize company pages across each platform to increase the visibility of Hale Law's social content.

  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and tools.

Qualifications:What We're Looking For

Experience: 1–2 years in a social media, content creation, or video production role, with real, hands-on video filming and editing experience.

You must be able to show us a reel or portfolio of video work you filmed and edited yourself.

Skills:

  • Strong video filming and editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent) — comfortable shooting on a phone or mirrorless camera, setting up basic lighting/audio, and editing for both short-form and long-form formats

  • Comfortable being the one behind the camera and directing subjects, often without a crew

  • Digital and graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Experience with paid social advertising — you understand how paid campaigns work and can create content that performs

  • Strong writing and editing with a sharp eye for detail

  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn and each platform's best practices

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Attributes:

  • Ambitious and proactive with an ownership mentality — you take pride in your work, follow through, and look for ways to make the content better

  • Highly organized, able to juggle shoots, editing, a full content calendar, and community engagement at once

  • Genuinely passionate about video and social media, and staying ahead of trends

  • Excellent communicator who can engage diverse audiences with warmth and professionalism

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well independently and as part of a team
