Job description

The CL Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in expanding and strengthening RCN Capital's network of Correspondent Lender (CL) partners. This role is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new CLs, guiding them through each stage of the onboarding process to ensure a smooth, organized, and engaging experience. By leveraging tools like Salesforce, Forecasa, and LinkedIn, along with creative outreach through podcasting and video content, the CL Onboarding Specialist helps drive brand visibility, build meaningful industry connections, and uncover emerging lending partners.
Beyond recruitment, this role manages the full administrative lifecycle of onboarding, including collecting registration documents, conducting due diligence, maintaining accurate CRM records, and coordinating demos, trainings, and follow-ups. Acting as a key point of contact, the CL Onboarding Specialist also helps identify problematic partners requiring corrective action, contributes to process improvements and automation enhancements, and partners cross-functionally to continually elevate the CL experience. Through proactive engagement and strong organizational execution, this role directly supports RCN's growth and the long-term success of our Correspondent Lender partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Target and recruit new Correspondent Lenders across multiple lead sources to RCN
  • Coordinate with team to schedule sales calls, follow ups, calibrations, and assist with campaigns when needed
  • Take appropriate action of Banning and requesting Cease and Desists to problematic CLs who we will no longer be working with
  • Leverage LinkedIn and other tools such as podcasting and video content to enhance brand awareness and networking reach
  • Work within Forecasa to mine for Emerging Lenders and other potential CLs including contact information
  • Maintain Salesforce and update data as CLs progress through the Onboarding Stages
  • Provide feedback and assist with improving onboarding experience and automation refinement
  • Manage collection of registration docs and diligence and pull credit, background, entity statuses, etc
  • Collect and input missing data and send formal welcome letters
  • Schedule demos, trainings and manage maintenance requests and manage distro/CL onboarding inbox
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned

Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Affinity for cold calling and qualifying leads via phone
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Required Experience:
  • Internship or academic experience in a professional office role
  • Internship or academic experience in a professional phone-based role
  • Experience working in a real estate office, lender, bank, or financial services institution preferred
  • Experience or exposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools preferred
  • Experience with a LOS a plus

Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or related field preferred

Work Schedule:
  • Full time
  • Monday-Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM
  • First 90-days are onsite for training
  • Hybrid schedule after - up to 3 days/week remote
