Overview This is a full-time position in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will be residing in the DMV area. The Videographer/Broadcast Production Support role is crucial in creating high-quality videos to support MCSC's communication goals. The incumbent will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing a wide range of video content, from short social media clips to long-form documentaries. Strong technical skills, a creative eye, and a deep understanding of video production are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Production
  • Capture high-quality video footage of events, interviews, and other activities.
  • Edit video footage to create engaging and informative videos.
  • Ensure videos adhere to Department of Defense, Marine Corps, and industry standards, including Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
  • Create videos for various platforms, including websites, social media, and digital signage.
  • Manage the entire video production process, from concept to final delivery.
  1. Technical Expertise
  • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Knowledge of camera operation and lighting techniques.
  • Experience with audio recording and editing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find solutions.

  • DoD Public Affairs Experience: Mandatory prior service experience. DoD Public Affairs experience (USMC Public Affairs experience preferred) preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in video editing and production software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and video capturing equipment (DSLR cameras, drones, etc.).
  • Portfolio: Ability to showcase a portfolio of high-quality video production work.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal Video Production Training: Completion of a formal video production program or certification.
  • Advanced Video Production Skills: Proficiency in specialized video production techniques, such as 3D animation, virtual reality, or augmented reality.
  • Knowledge of Military Protocol: Understanding of military customs, courtesies, and protocol.
