Job description

We have several long-term commercial projects and offer a great work-life balance. If you are experienced in New Construction Plumbing and interested in a position where your work day finishes by 3:00P.M., you have no on-call requirements, and overtime/weekend work is available (but voluntary).

Job Summary:

The New Construction Plumber installs and maintains piping, drainage, and water systems in new residential and commercial buildings by installing pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to blueprints and building codes. Key duties include interpreting blueprints, laying out and joining pipe systems, testing leaks, installing fixtures like sinks and toilets, and collaborating with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None


Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform plumbing installations including digging, soldering, core drilling, copper/PVC/CPVC/cast-iron systems, sanitary systems, venting, and fixture installation.

  • Accurately read blueprints and specification sheets; complete rough-ins, second roughs, tub sets, and shower pan installations.
  • Proper sealing of all openings (rodent proof).
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Follow and perform testing procedures of completed work.
  • Perform demo and patching of concrete floors as needed.
  • Thorough clean up after completion of work.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current plumbing codes, proper measurements, basic math (including fractions), and correct support/sealing of stub-outs.
  • Knowledge in the practice of materials used in the installation, maintenance and alteration of plumbing systems including venting, water distribution, plumbing fixtures, and traps.
  • Strong communication & teamwork – collaborates effectively with contractors, supervisors, and other trades.
  • Problem-solving & adaptability – quickly identifies issues and adjusts to changing jobsite needs.
  • Attention to detail & safety mindset – ensures accuracy, code compliance, and safe practices.
  • Reliability & time management – regular and punctual attendance, manages tasks, and meets project deadlines.
  • Coachability & professionalism – open to learning, receptive to feedback, and represents the company well.

Physical Requirements:

During a 10-hour workday, must be able to:

  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder for extended periods.
  • Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
  • Perform continuous manual digging and trenching for extended periods.
  • Safely climb ladders up to 12 feet and work at elevated heights when required.
  • Safely navigate uneven surfaces.
  • Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.

  • Field-based position with regular travel to job site locations.
